Word for the day-"Pleasing God Faith"

Hebrews 11: 8 (KJV) By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.Abraham (and his family) lived as “strangers and pilgrims on the earth” (Hebrews 11:13). Abraham understood that spiritual sojourners and heaven-purposed pilgrims must stay away from earth-bound cravings that interfere with one’s Godly purposes. Abraham and his seed had many tests and trials in their pilgrimage with the Lord. The same can be said for many of us today in our pilgrimage with the Lord. The enemy of our souls desires to sift us as wheat (Luke 22:31) by ensnaring us in the many things we have overcome in the earth realm. Everyone is subject to these attacks from the enemy. Even one of Paul’s early associates in ministry fell prey to this enticement from the enemy “Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world” (II Timothy 4:10). But we are warned and alerted by the Lord to stay away from any indulgent or close ties with this world (I John 2:15). Are you protecting yourself from falling into the traps set by the enemy of your soul?Without a doubt, we are to desire the priorities of Abraham and his family. We are to put our sights and affections on the heavenly things of God. Such heaven-focused faith is pleasing to our God. It is time to for us to endeavor to please God like never before! Have a great day and put your focus and attention of pleasing God. Abraham and his family made many mistakes but God was their priority!Prayer: Lord God, the only true and living God, I regret those times that my priorities were not on You. I cry out to You-please anchor my heart with a heaven centered focus, that I might thereby please you in my pilgrimage here on earth below, in Jesus name, Amen!
