Word for the day: "Come out of the strong hold"

I Samuel 22:5 (NKJV) Now the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not stay in the stronghold; depart, and go to the land of Judah.”While at times we go through seasons of Isolation, God does not allow us to remain in Isolation. If we remain there too long we become defeated by our circumstance. It is fascinating that the prophet told David, v5 “Do not stay in the stronghold; depart, and go to the land of Judah.” Judah means praise, if we are to overcome our circumstances, we must do something that seems unnatural, and we must praise God in the midst of our difficult circumstances. (I am doing that right now am out of work as this day unfolds)We don’t praise Him for the circumstance: we praise Him for God is our deliverer. What did the Isolation do in the life of David? Well, God turned the mess of this time of David’s life into one of the greatest messengers, who wrote many of the Psalms that have brought great comfort to God’s people for over centuries. We learn the lessons of the difficult times; David experiences were not just for him alone but for him to learn the lessons from these difficult times and put a pen to paper for humankind to find refuge and strength.Your difficult times are not just for you alone, but you will have opportunities to share the Greatness of God not many days hence. “Come out of the Stronghold” and remember to Praise God for the good days, and for the strength He gives you on the bad days to make it! Praise God!!!Elder Baker
