Word for the day: "Let me see your Glory"

Exodus 33: 14 - 18 (MSG) God said, "My presence will go with you. I'll see the journey to the end." 15) Moses said, "If your presence doesn't take the lead here, call this trip off right now. 16) How else will it be known that you're with me in this, with me and your people? Are you traveling with us or not? How else will we know that we're special, I and your people, among all other people on this planet Earth?"  17) God said to Moses: "All right. Just as you say; this also I will do, for I know you well and you are special to me. I know you by name." 18) Moses said, "Please. Let me see your Glory."Today’s word shares the transformed heart of Moses God’s servant leader. As God was touched by Moses’ heart, and hears Moses’ prayer. “My presence will go with you. I’ll see the journey to the end says the Lord V14. But Moses for some unknown reason wants more, one more request, Moses wants another monumental request of God to V18 “show him His Glory”. Sisters and Brothers when this is our hearts cry we cross a line in making such a request; especially in the midst of chaos, confusion, and conflict. When our deepest desire is not the things of God, or a favor from God, but God Himself, we cross a threshold. Less self-focus, more God-focus. In other words less about me and my self-centered wants, and more about God and His Glory!I need more of you God. Forget about the money, the power, the material stuff. That I can live without, but I can’t live without you. God is the message of Moses in this passage of scripture! Ask yourself a similar question. What is it that you want from God this day? Make sure whatever your answer is it includes the Glory of the Lord and watch the Hand of God transform your life. Because you and I need what Moses needed; a glimpse of God’s glory in our situations!!! Prayer: Sovereign God thank you for my sisters and brothers in consideration of today’s word, whatever their circumstances are today. There is no circumstance that your Glory cannot remedy and bring healing, liberty, and restoration, so Great God; let your Glory shine through on your people like never before in Jesus name Amen Amen!!!When our deepest desire is not the things of God, or a favor from God, but God Himself, we cross a threshold!....Max Lucado                                                                                                                                                                Elder Baker
