Word for the day: "Eyes of your Heart"

Ephesians 1:17 - 18 (NIV)  I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. ¹⁸ I pray that the “eyes of your heart” may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy peopleSisters and Brothers going through difficult times, if it does nothing else for you and to you,it  will open the eyes of your heart. Walking through a troubled season is one way that God has of shifting your vision. When your heart breaks, there's an opening for God's compassion to slip in and overwhelm your heart with His. You'll begin to look at others through the eyes of your heart and not through the eyes of quick wrong judgments, harsh conclusions, or self-interest.Life has a way if we are not mindful of hardening our hearts towards ourselves and others. But if we allow God to direct our hearts in our season of trouble not only are we enlightened. We under the influence of the “God Shift” are empowered to open the "Eyes of your Heart" and show compassion to our family, friends, and foes!!! Isn’t this just like God, working all things together for our good even amidst our troubled seasons. This is not an easy endeavor but it is worth your consideration. Have a Great Day!!!Elder Baker
