Word for the day "Giving thanks is always trending"
I Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV) Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. The month of November reminds, reinforces, and reorients our minds and hearts to give thanks. So, I just thought we could jumpstart the Thanksgiving season right now early without further delay. Many of us are in the mindset of giving thanks always and that’s great and others of us just need a little nudge that no matter how good or bad things are, we want to give the Lord some thanksgiving. Can you see in your life that you need to give God thanks?Wow! What a reminder, there’s no doubt in my mind that I could give thanks more often. We set aside mealtime, Sunday mornings, and my favorite holiday; Thanksgiving. But, don’t let an hour go by without giving thanks, for your careers and work, school, children, health, spouse, friendships blessings, and challenges. Yes, give thanks even in your challenges and in those tough days. That’s what today’s reading says “Give thanks in all circumstances” not necessarily for all situations people of God.When you have a God-awareness about life, and when you see and sense the Lord in your life (in the big things and the little things) it’s hard not to be thankful. So, let’s start the trend today "Giving thanks" in all things as today’s passage reminds us!
