Word for the day "Learning from the process of ants"
Proverbs 6:6 (NLT) Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!
The fact that you are alive today means there is more for your life.
We live in a challenging age of the world, in which slothfulness has become, not only common but even a lifestyle for many.Young people grow accustomed to doing just enough work to “get by.”Our elders look to their retirement as the end of all their problems. How do you live out your life? But the solution that King Solomon gives us is this: go to the ants, you who wish to forsake work and consider their ways in order to become wise.Go to the ant: be humble enough to learn, even from an ant.The ant has no guide or supervisor, no encouragement or accountability, and yet she is faithful to fulfill her duties day in and day out. Each of you reading today's’ message can literally learn from the work ethic of Ants!
Learning from the process in which ants’ function is instructive and amazing.
In learning of Ants: ants do not procrastinate; they do what they can when they can.In contrast, we many times are guilty of doing nothing because we can’t do everything at once. The ant labors little-by-little to get each job accomplished, each need met, each provision made.In fact, she is so slow and methodical in her duties, many won’t have even have the patience to watch and consider her, as Solomon instructs us to.Just do a little at a time people of God and watch how your life will progress.Ants exemplify what it means to be self-motivated. Size, lack, and location are not limiting factors for them. They make no excuses and continue with the business of getting things done. No one has to remind them to move, do their work, or to work together. They work for the common good. Moreover, they do not need a supervisor or a leader as they are disciplined and natural self-starters.Ants teach us the necessity to plan and plan ahead. They store their food during seasons of plenty so that they will have adequate amounts in times of scarcity. They also plan seasons of work and of self-care understanding the need for rest to prevent burnout.
Point to ponder
Both success and failure come in a process.Like a sports team, it just takes a little loss of focus to cost a game. A little neglect has cost teams their victory, people their lives, kings their power.Ants know that they can accomplish more by working together than by working alone.Notice ants intuitively set goals and work together to achieve it.Family and friends we need to make an effort to heal our marriages, help your children grow closer to God, develop the leader in our lives because the Lord is depending on us!
