Word for the day " Learning a life of obedience"

John 14:23 (KJV) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

We must learn the power of obedience to the Lord for our lives.

We live in a society that surrounds us with temptations to disobey God’s laws in every aspect of our lives.

So, if we are to win the battle against temptation and sin, we must learn when we are dropping our guard against the enemies of our destiny.

I am learning the power of obedience to the Lord in my life more than ever before.

A righteous life has many components: faith, honesty, generosity, love, kindness, humility, gratitude, and worship, to name a few.

If we seek to follow the steps of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we must seek to live according to God’s commandments and principles which we receive through God’s word (Matthew 4:4 NKJV).

When we are obedient to the Lord, we have access to God more intimately.

There are many good and amazing people in the world who are without a relationship with the Lord, and therefore are unable to connect with the frequency of God’s voice and person.

As a believer, you, on the other hand, have the ability to follow God and hear His voice. This is a privilege that belongs to the Lord’s children.

We can know His voice and person through His Word, His Holy Spirit, and the wisdom He gives to those that are in a relationship with Him (John 10:27 NKJV).

When we seek God’s righteousness in our own lives, and when we seek the companionship of like-minded friends, we not only build our characters, but we also reap the spiritual rewards that God offers to those who live a life of obedience.

 Point to ponder

When we live in accordance with God’s commandments, the Lord blesses us in ways that we cannot fully understand. Are you ready, willing, able, and anxious to receive God’s blessings?

I challenge all of us to start making every effort to live a life of obedience to the Lord today.

And rest assured that when you do your part, the Lord will do His part. Lastly, we cannot declare to love God without obeying Him and His Word.

Let’s commit to obey the Lord by faith with heartfelt love and show an appreciation for all He has done, doing, and will do for us.

We serve an awesome, magnificent, awe-inspiring God. Let’s obey the Lord wholeheartedly so we can walk with Him closely and enjoy the benefits of our obedience!
