Word for the day "Take a lesson from the ants"

Proverbs 6:6 (NLT) Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!

We can learn some life lessons from the work ethic of Ants.

We live in a challenging age of the world, in which slothfulness has become, not only common but even a lifestyle for many.

Young people grow accustomed to doing just enough work to “get by.” Older folks look to their retirement as the end to all their problems. How do you live out your life?

Consider the solution that King Solomon gives us: go to the ants, you who wish to forsake work, and consider their ways in order to become wise.

Go to the ant: The ant labors little-by-little to get each job accomplished, each need met, each provision made.

Part of the main responsibilities are of the female worker ants, not the queens nor the males. The ant has no guide or supervisor, no encouragement or accountability, yet she is faithful to fulfill her duties day in and day out.

Be humble enough to learn, even from an ant. We can literally learn from the work ethic of Ants!

The life lesson of a little at a time serves great value to our development.

In learning of Ants: Ants do not procrastinate; they do what they can when they can. In contrast, we can at times be guilty of doing nothing, because we can’t do everything at once.

In fact, the female ant is so slow and methodical in her duties, many wouldn't have even had the patience to watch and consider her, as Solomon instructs us to.

Just do a little at a time people of God. You will notice that the passage expressly states that the ant labors (meaning works) ants work slow, yet hard to get the job done. Sometimes you just have to take your time and just do it!

There are endless possibilities of what you can achieve in every dimension of your life. If only you will take to heart to these significant life lessons from the female worker ant, and make it a template for your life.

 Point to ponder

As leaders, we can learn lessons for our life’s journey in inconspicuous ways and, in both success or failure are experienced in a process.

We see the female ant as a metaphor like a sports team, it just takes a little loss of focus to cost a game.

A little neglect has cost teams their victory, people their lives, kings their power. Make an effort to heal your marriage, help your children grow closer to God, develop yourself as best you can, the Lord is depending on us!
