Deuteronomy 31: 7 (MSG) Then Moses summoned Joshua. He said to him with all Israel watching, “Be strong. Take courage. You will enter the land with this people, this land that God promised their ancestors that he’d give them. You will make them the proud possessors of it. God is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t worry.”

We must be careful of societal influence on our lives as leaders.

Most of us tend to think too highly of ourselves. Our love for having the right answers, solving our own problems, and feeling in control of every aspect of our lives demonstrates our inclination to think we possess all that’s needed.

I believe this is the influence of society to handle things ourselves and on our own as leaders of family, business, ministry, and in our communities.

We have to be careful of what influences our lives. Consequently, we spend a lot of time worrying.

When we feel we have all that it takes, it places us in a compromised position with the Lord. If we have all the right answers and have control in every aspect of our lives.

We literally don’t have a need for the Lord in our lives, because we think we can handle all that comes our way.

As a result, we become people who are consumed with worry and fear for most of the days of our lives. Are you a person who worries a great deal especially when challenges arise?

As leaders and emerging leaders always remember the Lord is Sovereign.

So how do we overcome our worry and fears? How do we rid ourselves of worry and anxiety, most of which are unfounded anyway? By keeping in mind that the Lord is Sovereign family, meaning God is in full control.

I am excited about today’s message: I trust the Lord, And the Lord is worthy to be praised! The fact, that I don’t have to have all the answers for life situations is a relief.

Much of our worry comes from attempting to handle life without (God) because one meaning of God is: Guidance, Order, and Direction.

We must be intentional about having God in the totality of our life. In today’s reading Moses gave Joshua a message that applies to me and you, “Don’t Worry God has you Covered”.

As people who have the Lord or learning the Lord in your life, this message is life-changing for your journey.

The fact that God has me covered in my role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, leadership consultant, and etc. brings a sense of comfort to my heart.

I am depending on the Lord to have me covered in this season of my life. How about you? Have an amazing week and an incredible journey with the Lord!
