Word for the day "The Lord is waiting on you"
II Peter 3:8-9 (MSG) Don’t overlook the obvious here, friends. With God, one day is as good as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day. God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.
Today’s message is a reminder that the Lord is the center of our life.
If you are like most people, you seek the admiration of your neighbors, your coworkers, and your family members. But the desire to please others should never outweigh your desire to please God.
And your desire to impress others should never cause you to compromise your beliefs or to defy your God consciousness. Always remember without Him we would be insignificant in life.
Ask yourself if your behavior has been radically changed by your transformational relationship with God.
If the answer to this question is unclear to you or if the honest answer is a resounding no, think of a single step you can take, a positive change in your life, which will bring you closer to our Lord.
The Lord is the power we need to have victory in our life.
As you’ve probably already learned, life is not easy. The sooner you accept this reality, the sooner you will stop trying to make it easier on yourself.
If you are without an intimate relationship with God, you will be without power. The power needed to go through the challenges of life in victory.
Many of us settle for being blessed but not having the victory needed to overcome life’s hard times in an effective way (John 16:33).
God is after our hearts. The Master wants us to love him out of our freedom and make Him our choice.
When we fail to do this, God has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ for reconciliation.
Everybody struggles in various degrees with meeting legitimate needs in illegitimate ways. Instead of being overtaken by our sins, let our sin become true godly sorrow that leads to repentance.
Yes, indeed my sisters and brothers the Lord is waiting on you right now.
Point to ponder
Continue to pursue your relationship with the Lord. Especially if you feel you have failed yourself and God. And if you are feeling like what’s the use, God still has need of you today!
