Word for the day "Children are a gift from the Lord"
Exodus 2:2(NASB) The woman conceived and bore a son; and when she saw [b]that he was [c]beautiful, she hid him for three months. 3 But when she could hide him no longer, she got him a [d]wicker [e]basket and covered it over with tar and pitch. Then she put the child into it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile.
Our children are gifts from the Lord and we must embrace this truth.
There is something basically wrong in our world when our children are looked upon as burdens rather than blessings.
Not only is there something basically wrong, but there is something morally wrong our children are being put to death in their mother’s womb.
This breaks my heart more than I can express in today’s message. The womb ought to be the safest place on earth, and now for many of our children, it is becoming the most dangerous place on earth.
In today’s message, Pharaoh ordered that every male born to the Hebrews be thrown in the Nile.
Moses was born during this time and, after three months, his mother realized she could hide him no longer.
Imagine her pain and worry as she left him in the basket among the reeds in the Nile River!
She did not know what the future held, but she released her son by her faith in God. We must learn that our children are in God's hands!
Today’s message is to Parents, Grandparents, Spiritual leaders, Mentors, and parents in the making!
We must learn how to release our children in the care of God.
Some moments bring a special awareness that we, too, are releasing our children to God. Saying goodbye as we drop them off for their first day of kindergarten.
Handing them the car keys as they take it out for a drive on their own. Watching them stand at the altar and commit their life to another in marriage or even to the Lord in being saved. As you release your children, remember that God has a plan!
And to those of you who had an abortion before you were saved and struggle with the guilt, let me emphatically say that God is forgiving and will forgive you of this indiscretion.
And to those of you who are single and long to be married, keep praying, keep waiting, keep serving until God brings that special someone.
The road may not always be easy but have faith in the Lord’s Divine wisdom and eternal purposes.
Point to ponder
Our children are a great blessing to everyone in the family; parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and so on. This is a joyful occasion by all means and all the intense pain involved in the birth of the child seems to pale in comparison to the great joy of having a new baby in the family. Great love to you all and have a marvelous day!
