Word for the day "How do we receive the desires of our hearts"?

Psalm 37:4 (KJV) Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

 Delight yourselves in the Lord?

How do I understand this passage: First, it has nothing to do with delighting in the Lord, and him giving us all we want personally or acquiring the desires in our heart. That might be self-centered and carnal minded. If you're seeking things that are self-oriented, or perhaps something which has nothing to do with God’s plans for your life, then you are not delighting yourself in the Lord. When we get to the place where our desires are intricately connected to what God wants for our lives. Then the Lord will move amazingly on our behalf with those desires, and you won't feel the urge to fulfill the self-centered desires as much. The Lord has a way of maturing us in our walk with him through life. And as a result, we come to the place where we desire what God desires for our lives more than anything else in life, even our own self-centered desires will diminish.

When our desires are transformed to the same desires the Lord has for us, we will experience amazing outcomes in our life.

So, to delight yourself in the Lord has everything to do with desiring what the Lord desires for your life and destiny according to His plan for you.May I suggest today for you to begin the process of spending meaningful time with the Lord in prayer and reading His word daily. In this way, you can connect with the Lord in a powerful way and begin to sense and cultivate the plans, purposes, and the will of God for your life in this season of your destiny.God has supernatural plans for each of us waiting for us to be coordinated with His will. There is joy waiting for you, peace is waiting for you, strength is waiting for you, love is waiting for you and so much more is waiting for you when you submit your will of being transformed to the Lord’s desires for your life. What are you waiting for, let’s go, people of God, the Lord is waiting for you!

Point to ponder

We delight in the Lord by connecting with Him and by diligently reading His Word. We delight in the Lord by believing in His promises for our lives; through open and honest prayer and supplication; and by seeking God’s will in the various facets of our lives.I find it amazing that God is waiting for me and you to choose His desires so He can blow our minds.
