Word for the day "Let the Lord develop you"

Isaiah 55:8 (KJV) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.Have you noticed people today are striving for personal improvement, self-empowerment, and inner strength? Yet, improvement in the Lord has a completely opposite way of thinking; it's full of paradoxes. We die to live; we lose to find; we surrender to gain strength. When Jesus overcame death, he defeated the worst enemy of all. Today we are left to battle with far lesser foes, knowing that Christ has already won the war. Did you know we are living from a position of victory? Even though we have challenges and circumstances in our lives. When we stop trying to control the outcome of every situation and stop demanding that God resolves our problems according to our dictates, we unlock the door for God to show us his redemptive purpose for our life. Learning how to develop yourself in the Lord is the best investment you can make people of God!Point to ponder- Are you struggling to be a better follower of Jesus? Spiritual development results from trusting Jesus. A life of faith will enable you to trust God increasingly without knowing what's around the corner. Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of November 2016 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Mr. Kenneth Washington, Ms. Sylvia Meza, Mrs. Denise Johnson, Mrs. Barbara Mason, Mable Bazemore, Ms. Sheron Farrow  and Ms. Gertrude Scott.
