Word for the day "Finding pleasure in God"

Ephesians 1:9 (NIV) he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. 11 In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.Today’s society says, 'Just do it!' Friends say, 'If it feels good, do it.' And our flesh says, 'More, more, more!' Our appetite for pleasure fuels our lives. I am sure today’s message is for someone reading today? Is this a bad thing? Actually, you were designed for pleasure but the pleasure that you were designed to seek the pleasure that will truly satisfy is finding pleasure in God. We often seek to satisfy our own pleasures and that’s why today’s message is relevant for your life. It’s time we start learning how to bring pleasure to God!Far too often, however, we set our sights too low, seeking satisfaction from power, food, status, money, or things. Maybe you are dissatisfied in your hunt for pleasure, or maybe you are satisfied right where you are and maybe you shouldn't be.Point to ponder: Pause and reflect on the source of your pleasure. Only one source is lasting seek God. I have tried everything but only the Lord has brought authentic satisfaction and wholeness to my life.In His Love,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
