Word for the day " Alone with God "

Mark 1:35 (NASB) In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.I have discovered an inner restlessness grows within me when I refuse to get alone [with God] and examine my own heart desires, including my motives. We have to be tenacious and authentic enough to examine ourselves as people of God (I Corinthians 11:28). Do you examine yourself? Do you examine your motives? How about do you spend time alone with God?As our lives begin to pick up the debris that accompanies a lot of activities and involvements, we can train ourselves to go right on, to stay active, to be busy in the Lord's work. Unless we discipline ourselves to pull back, to get alone for the hard work of self-examination in times of solitude, serenity will remain only a distant dream. I know this Word and message is for somebody reading this today….How busy we can become is a serious reality, and as a result, how empty we can become accompanies this reality! We mouth words, but they mean nothing if we don’t take this reality to heart. We find ourselves trafficking in unlived truths, and we can fake spirituality. Just feel the need to keep it super real today sisters and brothers. How easy to fall prey to meaningless talk, cliché-ridden responses, and mindless activities! It was never meant to be that way; but, more often than not, that's the way it is for so many of us family of God! To break the habit, solitude is required. The hard work of self-examination on a recurring basis is absolutely essential. And when we look at the pattern Jesus modeled while here on earth, he was intentional about being alone with the Father, for refreshing and recommitment to the issues of life.
