Word for the day "Spirtual Warfare"

Daniel 10:10 (NLT) Just then a hand touched me and lifted me, still trembling, to my hands and knees. 11 And the man said to me, “Daniel, you are very precious to God, so listen carefully to what I have to say to you. Stand up, for I have been sent to you.” When he said this to me, I stood up, still trembling.12 Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. 13 But for twenty-one days the spirit prince[c] of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels,[d] came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. As we read Scripture, we come to understand that the main point of Jesus’ ministry was to battle against Satan and his forces of evil. (1 John 3:8) puts it this way: “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”And while Satan has been defeated in the bigger picture of Kingdom, we find ourselves living in a fallen world where Satan and his agents are alive and kicking. The apostle Paul put it this way, in Ephesians 6:12: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”One of the ways that Satan tries to defeat us spiritually is through physical attack. In the book of Daniel of today’s reading, in the Old Testament, even an angel of the Lord was delayed in coming to Daniel by Satan: “Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. V13But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes (angels), came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.”We are in spiritual warfare sisters and brothers; keep on praying is my words for the first month of the new year! Have a great day and weekend!
