Word for the day "The Golden Rule"

Matthew 7:12 (NKJV)Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.Sisters and Brothers today’s Word deals with the basis of life,  and it's all about  people, and how we relate to each other. Consider today with me, that our success, fulfillment, and happiness depend upon our ability to relate effectively. My late beloved Mom and Dad Shirley Baker and James Baker Sr. had a gift in dealing with people in their own way. What is the key to relating to others? It’s putting yourself in someone else’s place instead of putting them in their place. Christ gave the perfect rule for establishing quality human relationships. We call it the Golden Rule, a name it got sometime around the seventeenth century. Near the close of His Sermon on the Mount, Christ summed up a series of profound thoughts of human relationships by saying, v12 “Therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you” It’s a Kingdom principle people of God!In this brief command, Jesus taught us a couple of things about developing relationships with others. We need to decide how we want to be treated. Then we need to begin treating others in that manner. I know this Word is for some married couple, parent of your children, children regarding your parents, boss towards your employees, and simply put any relationship that has a dependence on each other in order to function properly.Whatever your position in a relationship, if you are aware of a problem, it’s you’re your responsibility to make a concerted effort to create a positive change (Matthew 5:23-24). God’s blessings be upon you as you incorporate the “Golden Rule” in your life.
