Word for the day "Efficacious Love"

Romans 5:6-8 (MSG) Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.If you ever been in love before you’d probably agree with me that it is a powerful experience. But you might also agree with me that Love can be elusive in our lives in our relationships with significant others, family, friends, and even our foes. Love seems to always begin unplanned and then becomes a challenge that we will either fight for or let it go!  Where are you on the issue of love in your life? When you love someone, you’ll go to great lengths to secure or rescue the object of your love. You will, in the eyes of many behave foolishly. But a love that will make you act foolish is the real thing. Foolish love is, in my mind the best kind of Love!Just think about things you’ve done or seen done in the name of love. People risk embarrassment, they risk safety, they risk wealth, and they risk all sorts of things for someone they love. What are you risking, or what are you fighting for, in the area of love in your life? Sometimes you have to love someone enough to let them go because they are no good for you!We see this “Efficacious Love” most clearly in the greatest love story of all ages, the story of how God the Father gave his Son to rescue us from a life of sorrow and without of hope. We learn the pattern, practice, and purpose of love from Jesus folks.Did you know that God is crazy in love with you? And He wants you to fall in love with Him, in a all or nothing kind of way. Have a fabulous weekend and know you are loved by God and He is crazy about you!
