Word for day "The Lord your God"

Deuteronomy 4:3 (NIV) You saw with your own eyes what the Lord did at Baal Peor. The Lord your God destroyed from among you everyone who followed the Baal of Peor, but all of you who held fast to the Lord your God are still alive today. It doesn’t matter how you or I may feel about it, the harsh reality remains: our country the USA is at war, and has been for a few years now. War is a mind boggling uprising, painful in many ways. National war brings to the surface of our lives many of our worst fears and deepest prejudices and along with them, some serious questions about God.If that’s true for us as adults, just think about the questions that must be entertained and processed in the heads of our children: Does God choose sides? Does He like war? Why does He allow wars to happen in the first place? How does God want us to think about those our country is at war with? Does God care for some people better than others? How should we pray?  To tell you the truth, I don’t have the answer to many of these questions. If you have a child or have influence on a child, speak to them about these things. Let them see that you don’t have all the answers and that you have some of the same questions they do. But most of all, assure them that God is in control and allows things to happen that we don’t often understand, unequivocally let them know and remind yourself that whatever is going in our lives, God is still in control!Prayer: Dear God, today let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven in the lives of Your children. God there is so much in this life that we experience of which  we do not have the answers to, yet we know and trust that You are in Control now and forever more, in Christ name Amen!
