Word for the day "Crown of Glory"
Isaiah 28:5 (NASB) In that day the Lord of hosts will become a beautiful crownAnd a glorious diadem to the remnant of His people;6 A spirit of justice for him who sits in judgment, A strength to those who repel the onslaught at the gate.In the Old Testament the book of Isaiah in the 28th Chapter contains a Prophetical utterance that Israel’s sin will cause it to be overrun by an enemy nation. But God has a special “remnant” or residue, of people who will avoid His judgment because of their faithfulness to Him. God will be a Crown of Glory to these obedient ones, so your commitment and love for God will be rewarded. They will share in His character, His holiness, righteousness, and justice.God will also reward this obedient remnant by giving them a Diadem of Beauty. A diadem was a band around the head of a king that symbolized his royal authority. We people of God have to know who we are, and who we belong to (God the crown of Glory/Diadem of Beauty). We as God’s people wear a diadem of sorts and which is our salvation. This shows to the world that we belong to the Lord and that He has commissioned us to serve as His witnesses in the world. Well the only thing left for us to do now is to have a fantastic weekend wearing our crown of Glory.
