Word for the day: "Looking unto Jesus"

Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV) looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Have you noticed if anybody faced obstacles on the road of life, was it our Lord Jesus Christ? He was born into a poor family, a person rejected because he belonged to a minority race. He grew up in ridiculed, obscurity, and rejection in a little town that was mentioned only in derogatory context (Considered Nazareth the ghetto) “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” He was called a liar, a glutton, a drunkard, a man in the same classification as the devil.Men twisted His words and questioned His motives, yet Jesus our Lord continued to do the will of God. Finally, He came to that greatest challenge of all time being crucified like a common thief. I wonder if anyone reading this message today can relate to any of these challenges in your own life. If so not to worry you are in Great Company, and Jesus just continues to move forward on the road of life. And we know that God gave Him great victory. By the people of God, God is going to give you great victory if you would just move in the will of God for your life. This is why the writer of the Book of Hebrews exhorts us to look to Jesus Christ and keep on trusting. V2looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. We are to look not at ourselves, our circumstances, our troubles, or the situations, in the road of life, but unto Jesus. I don’t know about you but I see Jesus in my view!Elder Baker
