Word for the day “We will survive”

Job 13:15 (NKJV) Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.

There are times I think back to some very pain-filled days in my life. I realize that even in Death God will teach you some amazing life insights.   I know many of you are living in traumatic times where it feels like you are going through one thing after another.  Yet God is calling you today, to remember the promises he made to you long ago.   When I feel traumatized, here are a few insights I reflect on during challenging times.

  1. Don’t forget to live- Live your life to the best of your ability. Live authentic, the truth of the matter is all of us will have to die, but not all of us will live as our life is a gift from God.  But your life really is a gift from God.

  2. God is a sustainer- This entire year I have been saying God is a sustainer, because we are so used to talking about God as a savior and as a deliverer, but 2021 has taught us that God is also a sustainer.  Sometimes God does not take the pain away.  Sometimes God does cease the suffering.  There are some trials you will have to persevere.  Yet while you are in the trial, God will sustain you.  God will give you the grace to make it through the fiery heat of the trial.

  3. You will have to take Action- Real leaders make things happen. They lead by example and show the way. This is a famous quote from John C. Maxwell. "A leader is one who knows the way goes the way and shows the way." We have to take action in order to survive challenging times. Let’s Go!!!

  4. We all need accountability- Perhaps the most important result of accountability is trust, which is essential to any relationship. Being accountable to something means that you’re willing to make commitments and be responsible for your own actions. This promotes trust between you and the people around you. You cannot make it in this world by yourself.  No man is an island, and these traumatic times continue to teach has us that we need each other like ever before.   Our assignment at GATL is to keep you connected to God and each other.
