Word for the day “We stand for healing in our community”

Stronger Together!!!

Stronger Together!!!

Grace and Truth Leadership are standing alongside our Sisters and Brothers in the Asian community everywhere during these challenging times in America.

As recent as last week a man suspected of killing eight people at three Atlanta-area spas was headed to Florida "perhaps to carry out additional shootings" when he was arrested last week March 16th Tuesday night. His family had helped police search for him, authorities said, perhaps averting further harm that the mayor said: "could have been significantly worse." "It's very likely there would have been more victims," Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms noted in a news conference in Atlanta police headquarters.

And investigative information indicates that the killings of six Asian people and two White people may have been for several reasons to the suspect's claim of potential sex addiction, and more the Cherokee County Sheriff Frank Reynolds said at the joint news conference. We are praying for the families of the victims, and are now informed that four have been described as being of Korean ethnicity, according to South Korea's foreign ministry. Atlanta's police chief had said at least four were female and appeared to be Asian. A 21-year-old suspect Robert Aaron Long was taken into custody after a car chase and without incident, and police now know he was responsible for the attacks.

These heinous attacks have sparked fears among Asian Americans, who have seen incidents of violence and hate against them rise since the coronavirus pandemic began. Officials in some cities are increasing police presence in Asian communities as a precaution. Our Leadership Team is about healing in our communities. We stand on the front lines of leadership, healing, and are conduits of the change our stands in need of today. We will use our prayers, platform, and resources to protest these and other reprehensible acts of inhumanity.
