Word for the day “Transition and Transformation time”

Deuteronomy 8:2 (NASB) You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

THE NUMBER “FORTY” IN SCRIPTURE SIGNIFIES A TIME OF TRANSITION AND PASSAGE.

Have you ever noticed the significance of the number forty in Scripture? Moses worked as a shepherd forty years before God called him to lead the Israelites from captivity (Exodus Chapter 3). Moses was atop Mount Sinai forty days receiving the covenant God made with the Israelites after redeeming them from bondage (Exodus Chapter 24). God led His people in the wilderness for forty years of testing before entering the Promised Land (Deuteronomy Chapter 2). Jesus was tested in the wilderness forty days before beginning His public ministry (Luke Chapter 3). And it rained forty days and forty nights when Noah built the ark (Genesis Chapter 7).

As you can see, it’s not only the number forty that’s significant, but the events that this number helped to define. Each event is a period of passage and transition-in the unfolding of God’s gracious and redemptive activity. Now, this is significant for our life now. Even a mother delivers her baby normally after 40 weeks, and the pain is at its worst during the time of birthing!

IT’S TIME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT SEASON OF YOUR LIFE, YOU ARE LIVING THROUGH.

Are you in a period of transition? We are all living through seasons of life if not specific, shorter transitional phrases in life. It’s the way God designed it. Every end is a new beginning. Remember that God walks with us through every season, every transition. Yes, I’m saying God is in control, enjoy this phase and learn the lessons for your life and the life of those around you. Are you in a time of transition?

Transition definition is movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc. to another; change: the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Transition and passage from one place in life to another. The Four Seasons of Transition and Transformation

  • Summer: A season for reward, celebration, and fulfillment.

  • Autumn: A season for survival, mistakes, and problems.

  • Winter: A season for reflection, hibernation, and planning.

  • Spring: A season for learning, opportunity, and dynamic thinking.

Quote - Sarah Ban Breathnach “Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again”.

 POINT TO PONDER

You might be experiencing some pain but remember when Mothers are preparing to deliver their child the pain of labor means there is life on the other side of the pain. It’s time for your transition and passage, don’t miss it!

Prayer – Wonderful Jesus, thank you for every season that we find ourselves in, in the winter help us to remember that your provision is coming, in the spring help us to be thankful for new beginnings, in the summer help us to enjoy the warmth of your grace and mercy and in the fall reminds us to rejoice in the harvest. In Christ's name, Amen.
