Word for the day: “The Lord really has a plan for your life.”

Jeremiah 29:11 (HCSB) For I know the plans I have for you”- [this is] the Lord’s declaration- “plans for [your] welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

 DEAR LEADERS,

One of the most significant questions for your life and mine is, what is my purpose? Another critical question is, why am I here? I hope to provide a small sample of considerations in today’s message designed for your learning and leadership.

THE CHALLENGE OF DISCOVERING GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE IS CRUCIAL.

Why did God put me here?” It’s a simple question to ask and, at times, a highly complex question to answer, especially in our human and Spiritual experiences. I’ll submit to you today that the two greatest days of your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why. I believe the challenge of understanding this question will change the trajectory of your life forever.

As you seek to discover (or perhaps, to rediscover) God’s plan for your life, you should start by remembering this: You are here because God put you here, and the Lord did so for an excellent reason.

But I also believe it is not wrong to make plans. It is good to plan. As the book of Genesis pointed out, it didn’t rain while Noah was building the ark. Interestingly enough, you may sometimes be confident that you are doing God’s will. But on other occasions, you may be uncertain about your life's direction.

Sometimes, you may wander in a wilderness of your own making. And sometimes, you may struggle mightily against God in a vain effort to find success and happiness through your means, not His.

WE WILL DISCOVER THAT GOD’S PLAN FOR OUR LIFE IS THE BEST PLAN.

But wherever you find yourself on the mountaintops, in the valleys, or at the crossroads of life, you may be assured that God is there, and you may be assured that He has a plan for your life. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed” (Proverbs 16:3 NKJV). This is the process we must submit to if we plan to succeed in our endeavors.

I find it encouraging and faith-developing to reflect on how much the Lord has done for us over the years. When you arrive at one of life’s inevitable turning points, that’s the moment when you should turn your thoughts and prayers toward God. When you do, the Lord will make Himself known to you in a time and manner of His choosing.

When you discover God’s plan for your life, you will experience peace, joy, and power- God’s power beyond what you can think or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). And that’s the only kind of power that matters.

 POINT TO PONDER

God has a beautiful plan for your life. It is so easy to forget the Lord’s faithfulness in our lives. But today, it is time to start looking for that plan and living it now. And always remember that discovering God’s plan begins with prayer but does not end there. You also must work at it, family of God!!
