Word for the day: “The faith leader’s challenge.”

I Samuel 3:8 (NKJV) And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So, he arose, went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy. 9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.”

 Great day leaders,

We are living in challenging times, and leaders are called upon to make a difference. I want to challenge and charge each person reading today’s message to do what God has called them to do. Someone depends on you to do what God has assigned to you.

This is a time for discernment, to know what God's will is for your life. The most difficult thing in the world is knowing the difference between what is real and what is counterfeit. Every day, it becomes harder to separate the real from the fake, fact from fiction, and truth from lies. Everywhere we turn, the enemy of our soul is scheming for our attention and allegiance.

In these times, we need God's voice to guide us as we endeavor to lead our families, businesses, ministries, and lives. I remember these words: “Lord, whatever you’re doing in this season, please don’t do it without me."

My prayer and sincere hope for you today is that the voice of God will lead you.  I want you to know that God is with you in all your actions.   Distinguishing the voice of the Lord is the spiritual practice of waiting and listening for the voice of God.  We have got to stop reacting first and then talking to God afterward.  I've made too many mistakes trying to do things my way. Now, I’m learning daily to put God’s voice first.

 POINT TO PONDER

Discerning God's voice and the assignment on your life is worth investing in. It’s not easy, but let’s get our lives in spiritual formation leaders and do what we must. I’m excited for you and what’s next for your life.
