Word for the day “Our three-year book anniversary”

OUR THREE-YEAR BOOK ANNIVERSARY!

Blessings to you,

I wanted to personally reach out to you to discuss a very important book that I’ve already released three years ago on September 24, 2019, we are now on the three-year book anniversary “The Journey of Self-Care from the Inside Out.” Our message of Self-Care has been out for two years now, and we are still making every effort possible to impact the lives of leaders and emerging leaders in all professions of life.

The purpose of this book is to help you focus on self-care practices for wholeness in mind, body, and spirit. I am not writing on this subject to give any credit to “self” for “selfie” reasons. The word “self” today connects to a “selfie” generation. Selfie pictures and selfie sticks create a thought process of self-absorption. Being self-centered is essentially not fulfilling and leaves people feeling empty. Conversely, focusing on serving other people, cultivates higher purpose and fulfillment. Helping others offsets the selfish and self-centered proclivities of our human nature.

My contention is in pouring ourselves out for the sake of others. We need to have the means to receive, recalibrate, and be restored. My self-care approach intends to alter these understandings to an “altar-ed” space of first caring for the self. Moreover, before you can fully love and be in a relationship with others, you must first love yourself. I liken this to traveling on an airplane.

Before departure, the airline attendants include this one rule during their oxygen instructions announcements. In the event of a decompression, an oxygen mask will automatically appear in front of you. To start the flow of oxygen, first, pull the mask towards yourself. Place it firmly over your nose and mouth, secure the elastic band behind your head, and breathe normally. At this point, after you have secured first your well-being, you are then in a position to help anyone who needs assistance.

We endeavor to empower leaders and emerging leaders in ministry and the marketplace leaders!! Jesus said in the Gospel of Mark 12:30 (NIV) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no commandment greater than these.” Consider verse “31”. “The Journey of Self-Care from the Inside Out” is a very important book, not just to me personally but in regards to the issues we currently face in leadership as a nation. And I need your help spreading the word.

 1) We ask that partners of leadership organizations and those who purchase a copy of the book commit to leaving a short review on Amazon.

2) And we would also appreciate help in spreading the word on social media, in blogs, newsletters, or whatever resources you have platform access to. Our leaders of families, ministries, businesses, educators, professionals, communities, and our nation need to hear this message, and you can be a part of this important work! Click here to purchase your copy of my book and share this post with your family and friends. So, they too can be a part of Grace and Truth leadership family and friends!
