Word for the day “Leadership considerations for 2023”

Job 13:15 (NKJV) Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.

Beloved leaders,

Sometimes I think back to some very pain-filled days in my life. I realize that even in death, God will teach you some amazing life lessons.   I know many of you are living in traumatic times where it feels like you are going through one thing after another.  Yet God is calling you today to remember the promises he made to you long ago.   When I feel traumatized, here are a few insights I reflect on during challenging times:

·        Don’t forget to live- Live your life to the best of your ability. Live authentically, the truth is that all of us will have to die, but not all of us will live our life as a gift from God.  But your life is a gift from God.

 ·        God is a sustainer- This past year, I have been saying God is a sustainer because we are so used to talking about God as a savior and a deliverer, but 2022 has taught us that God is also a sustainer.  Sometimes God does not take the pain away.  Other times God will stop our suffering.  But there are some trials you will have to persevere.  Yet while you are in the trial, God will sustain you.  God will give you the grace to make it through the fiery heat of the trial.

 ·        You will have to take Action- Real leaders make things happen. They lead by example and show the way. This is a famous quote from John C. Maxwell. "A leader knows the way goes the way, and shows the way." We have to take action to survive challenging times. Let’s Go!!

 ·        We all need accountability- Perhaps the most important result of accountability is trust, which is essential to any relationship. Being accountable for something means that you’re willing to make commitments and be responsible for your actions. This promotes trust between you and the people around you. You cannot make it in this world by yourself.

·        We are built to be in community; no man/woman is an island and in these traumatic times. My responsibility is to live and teach us that we need each other like never before.   Our assignment at GATL is to keep you connected to God and each other.

  Special thanks!
