Word for the day: “Leaders think differently.”
Great day leaders,
I’ve discovered how you think about the things that occur in life can really impact your life for better or worse. What you spend your time thinking about has the power to affect your mental thoughts, emotions, and actions and literally impact you personally. Your thoughts are some of the most powerful aspects of you.
Scripture has much to say about our thoughts because God knows the power of our minds. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
Can you imagine that? How you think and your perception of things impacts your reality. So, if you think negatively, that’s how you’ll live out your life, and if you think positively, you will live your life in this manner, even with the challenges of life.
The more time we spend focusing our thoughts on God and His Word, the more our hearts will be kept in alignment with God and his word and, ultimately, his heart for us. That is a powerful thought, especially in a world that is divided and literally self-destructing in plain sight.
The starting point for alignment with God is trusting God. We must come to Him trusting in who He is and have faith in what He has done for us. We know that God is good and just. So, if we have faith in Him, we know that we are accepted and loved by Him. And those who trust in God are given access to Him and His presence.
Alignment with God is available to those who consistently trust in God and fix their thoughts on Him. The reality is we may not get this perfect, and we do not have to, but more importantly, we should always be ready to embrace what God has to say about our situation.
How many of your thoughts are spent on things relating to God? Do you keep your mind focused on Him when you’re feeling anxious or stressed? What are some simple ways you can continue to remind yourself to think about God throughout your day?
Spend some time thinking about the power of your thoughts and the access you’ve been given to God through Scripture. Commit to building the habit of centering your thoughts on God so that you can experience alignment with the heart of God for your life, family, and the world in which we live.
