Word for the day: “Leaders depend on God.”
Proverbs 19:21 (NKJV) There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.
Good morning Leaders,
Today’s leadership POV is to help you understand that our greatest strength depends on including God in our assignments.
Leaders, for the most part, have good intentions when they lead their organizations, family, and teams. However, some might question my assertion when it comes to the direction of our country. However, faith leaders must remember to leave space for God to support and even redirect their plans for the best possible outcomes.
In our human frailty, we often do the wrong thing for all the right reasons. The only way to be sure that you avoid the pitfalls is to let the Lord lead your course. I’ve made countless mistakes, starting with plans on a personal and professional level with good intentions. However, when things got complicated, I often leaned exclusively on my understanding and didn’t rely on or seek the guidance of the Lord.
Many times, things did work out, and other times, things didn’t work out. When things did work out, it was hard and often more painful, and plenty of collateral damage and hardship. On the other hand, when things didn’t work out, it was clear in my mind over time, I didn’t include God as best as I could have.
POINT TO PONDER
We should all be challenged today to practice seeking the Lord's guidance in every decision. Allow the Lord to direct the steps you take in your life. It will prevent you from making costly mistakes. When you instinctively seek God's instruction through prayer, moment by moment, day by day. In fact, you will find yourself on the right path and going in the right direction.
