Word for the day “Leaders are fearfully and wonderfully made”
Psalm 139:14 (NKJV) I will praise You, for [g]I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. 15 My [h]frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.
Beloved leaders,
I know there have been moments in my family life, leadership assignment, call to ministry where even though I knew God had called me, I didn’t feel capable of the task at hand. In those moments I started to doubt myself and even believe that those who were against me were more powerful than the God who was working on my side. I believe this message is for someone reading today, keep on reading.
But in those times of uncertainty and what I’ll call wilderness seasons of my life I was reminded by the word of the Lord that I was God’s creation. Yes, I was fearfully and wonderfully made by the God of all creation (Psalm 139:14). I wanted to remind each of you today especially if you are in a wilderness season and a place of uncertainty. You belong to God and God won’t let you down,
The spirit of the Lord confirmed with me, that I was created and called by God and that if God be for me nothing could be against me. This day and week I need to encourage you to walk in the confidence of God. I wanted to remind you to believe and know that you can bounce back from any failure or any setback. Perhaps you might be in a season of great distress, but our God will meet you right where you are and remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, the workmanship of his eternal hand.
Family, I’m convinced that the reason I’ve experienced those seasons and still at times experience those wilderness seasons, is because God is doing a great work in my life. In fact, many of those seasons happened to me but was not only for me. It was so I could share with you as well the marvelous work of the Lord for your life being done. Keep going, keep preparing, keep praying, keep reading, and watch God show up and show out in your life and the life of those you are assigned.
Point to ponder
Leaders do the things that other people could do but decide not to do. That’s why we are called leaders we are willing to do the things others decide not to do.
