Word for the day “God’s promises will prevail”

Genesis 50:19 (NKJV) Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. 21 Now, therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke [d]kindly to them.

Great day leaders,

I just wanted to remind you today, don’t give up on the promises of God for your life. At times it will seem as if what God has promised for your life will not happen. I’m a living witness to this reality in my journey of growing up in the projects and the inner-city challenges that were set for my destruction. Subsequently, working in Corporate America and the environment there was not designed for my success and was the cause of much trauma and pain. But the Lord sustained me and gave me some promises through it all.

The Lord promised Joseph and his family amazing blessings that seemed unlikely. But in the story of Joseph, we are reminded of God's faithfulness and God's ability to do what he says.  It amazed me so much about God's promise to Joseph and his family and how it looked unbelievable for most of the Old Testament story. I have my own story and you have your own story but God always fulfills His promises (Genesis 37:5-11).

Remember this is the same Joseph that was sold into slavery.  This is the same Joseph that had to work in Potiphar’s house.  This is the same Joseph that was lied on and sent to jail and all along the promise of God was still upon his life.  Joseph went to jail, but the promise still prevailed, he was a servant in another man's house, but God's promise still prevailed.  Joseph was forsaken by his brothers, but God’s promise still prevailed.  God’s promises for you will still prevail sisters and brothers, in fact, my prayer is that you will trust God's promises and you will prevail in your life’s journey (Numbers 23:19).

POINT TO PONDER

Here’s the hard part, it doesn’t matter what it looks like right now.  God’s promises over your life will prevail. If you trust God and walk with God in your life’s journey, you will see the promises of God in your life.   I believe God will come through for you, like He promised and did for Joseph.

Your family will be delivered, your joy will be restored, others will be blessed, and You shall prevail.
