Word for the day “Can science and the church exist”

GOD CARES ABOUT THE INTIMATE DETAILS OF ALL CREATION AND HAS PROVEN DIVINE SOVEREIGNTY WITHOUT CONTROVERSY.
Science news in our world is making tremendous strides like never before, in understanding the complexities of our World and creation. Albeit, these progressive strides also gave me a new appreciation for how big and how grand our God is. The opening line of the Bible says, “God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Yet despite the greatness of the heavens, God cares about the intimate details of my life and your life.
MANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS SURROUNDING GOD AND SCIENCE HISTORICALLY AND HAVE CREATED UNHEALTHY DIALOGUE.
Few topics are as open and lead to misunderstanding, just as the relationship between faith and science. The ongoing clash of creationism with evolution obscures the fact that Christianity has had a far more positive role to play in the history of science than commonly believed. Indeed, many of the alleged examples of religion holding back scientific progress turn out to not be accurate. For instance, the Church has never taught that the Earth is flat, and, in the Middle Ages, no one thought so anyway. Popes in times past or now haven’t tried to ban human dissection or lightning rods. There is a place for healthy dialogue and progressive advancements.
CAN SCIENCE AND RELIGION WORK TOGETHER FOR THE COMMON GOOD?
Nonetheless, today, science and religion are the two most powerful intellectual forces on the planet. Both can do enormous good, but their chances of doing so are much greater if they can work together. In the New Testament book of Luke, Jesus says that God knows when a sparrow falls to the ground and that even the very hairs on your head are all numbered (Luke 12:6-7). So, don’t be afraid; The Lord has valued you and we are worth more than the many sparrows.
POINT TO PONDER
I challenge you today to consider how big the world is, but also realize that we can have an intimate relationship with the God who created it. How Great is our God? Just a word to consider.
