Word for the day "The power of your Testimony"
Colossians 3:23 (KJV) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.
Remember to give voice to the things God is doing, has done, and will do in your life.
The stronger your faith, the better you can rise above the inevitable stresses of turbulent times. And the more enthused you are about your faith, the better you can share it.Are you genuinely excited about your faith? And do you make your enthusiasm known to those around you? Or are you a “silent witness” for the Lord?God’s preference is clear: The Lord intends that you stand before others and proclaim your faith. Genuine, heartfelt Christianity is contagious. If you enjoy a life-altering relationship with God, that relationship will have an impact on others; perhaps a profound impact. What kind of impact do you think it would have on your life if you personally witnessed a continuous voice of amazing blessings in your life? Would you like to have that kind of experience?
Remember that telling of the Lord’s blessings in your life is an encouragement to others and yourself.
Now, I’m not telling you to dwell on your past or your past mistakes and sins, but I am telling you that it is beneficial to remember the good works that God has done in your life. It is beneficial to encourage yourself in the Lord. You can get so caught up in not being where you want to be, that you forget how far He has brought you.Remember how God blessed you. Remember where God found you. Remember how God adopted you and picked you up and turned you around.Saved your life from destruction. Lifted you up in the presence of your enemies. It sounds too simple to say that remembering is important because it keeps you from forgetting. But it’s the truth, especially with God.I’m not sure why this is the case, whether it’s something natural inside of us or something that results from societal pressure, but when people don’t perform intentional acts of remembrance, they literally forget.More specifically, when people don’t perform intentional acts to remember what God has done for them, their memories start self-awareness and self-focused; people start thinking they are responsible for the things the Lord has done.
Point to ponder
Does Christ reign over your life? Then share your testimony and your excitement. The world needs both, let’s recommit and make the impact necessary for the Lord!Through our personal testimony with an opportunity to not only benefit from our faith but to literally demonstrate our faith in the Lord.
Prayer
Dear Lord, let me be an enthusiastic participant in life. And let my enthusiasm bring honor and glory to You for the rest of my life, Amen.
