Word for the day "A faith walk, that works"

Genesis 6:22 (NKJV) Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.

Our faith in God many times will not make human sense, but we must trust the Lord anyway.

Whatever you need from God in this season of your life, may require a radical kind of faith within your marriage, finances, career, children, health, ministry, and even your family.

Make the decision to have faith in God and see how things unfold in your life (Matthew 19:26).

Our faith in God is very much connected to our spiritual and personal development for our everyday living.

I’ve read enough and personally experienced for myself the amazing things God can and will do when you trust in His sovereignty.

Noah’s decision to build an ark required a supreme act of faith. There was not a body of water nearby.

In fact, it had never rained like what was expected on Earth prior to this before. At that time, God had placed a water canopy over the planet that created a greenhouse effect of sorts.

So, in one of the greatest acts of faith in human history, Noah cut down his first gopher tree to start building the ark.

Faith in God can be realized and activated at the most inopportune moments.

It was such a bold act of faith that Noah is memorialized in (Hebrews 11), known as the Hall of Faith:

“By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen moved with godly fear prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he challenged the world and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith” (verse 7).

This verse gives us a number of important insights into what made Noah do this thing. First of all, we read that he was “divinely warned.”

God spoke to Noah. (Romans 10:17) says that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Your faith will grow when you read what the Bible says and then take the next step and put it into action.

I realize that some of the closest people in my life can’t hear me, it’s so important to know when you hear God’s word.

We also read that Noah “moved with Godly fear.” Noah had a reverence for or a fear as in Honor of the Lord.

And a good definition I have heard for the fear of the Lord is “a wholesome dread of displeasing the Lord.”

Noah’s faith walk with God caused him to work for God. And one must always precede the other.

If you walk with God, you will want to work for God. Works don’t save you; faith does. But if your faith is real, then it will produce works.

That is how Noah’s faith worked when God told him to work and build the ark.

Point to ponder

Our faith in God intensifies when we invite Jesus into our lives. In accepting that God’s ways are far better than our own, we can release that which we cannot manipulate and literally guarantee our future.

Choosing to submit control to the only One who is the Way, Truth, and Life which is Jesus gives us peace and security.

With faith in God, through His Son, we then can say, “I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

So, I live my life in the earthly body by trusting the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

• Are you ready to grow in your faith with God?
• Is your faith in God, realized primarily through your feelings?
