Word for the day "Women's History Month 2020"
Luke 8 (NKJV) Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and [a]bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, 2 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and [b]infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, 3 and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for [c]Him from their [d]substance.
I wanted to thank the amazing women of the team “Grace and Truth Leadership organization” “Robin Baker”, “Ashley Baker” and our women consultants.
Luke the 8th Chapter is amazing and loaded with names of women leaders many have never heard. Jesus did not do all of this sowing on his own.
He had a team, at the heart of which were twelve men and also some women (v.2). Women played a very important role in Jesus’ ministry.
Among other things, they helped to support the team ‘out of their own means (v.3).
I wanted to take this time as Women’s history month of March is coming to a close and recognize the amazing team of women leaders.
Where would Grace and Truth Leadership be without your creativity and ingenuity!
Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987.
Women’s History Month 2020 takes place from Sunday, March 1-Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
In the Old Testament, we see another set of amazing women not heard of much in the book of Numbers the 27th chapter.
Zelophehad’s daughters also showed great wisdom in being courageous and speaking out. They stood up for women’s rights (27:1–11).
Had these women not done so, the results might have been very different. They were right to have the courage to speak out.
Moses dealt with the situation with great wisdom. He did not simply follow the customs of his day; he was remarkably open-minded.
Moses had the wisdom not to make a hasty decision in his own strength, or automatically equate God’s will with ancient custom.
Moses brought the problems and challenges of the people to God. He sought God’s help and guidance, and it was this that made him wise.
He honored these women and granted them their rights in this time of antiquity history.
We like to thank our women, matriarchs, and sheroes, around the world for their leadership and courage in making our world a greater place.
To our Grandmothers’, Mothers’, Aunts. Stepmothers’. Surrogate mothers’, Business leaders, Church leaders, Educators, and etc. we celebrate you as well.
Point to ponder
Women’s History Month is a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to the United States history.
From Abigail Adams to Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth to Rosa Parks, the timeline of women’s history milestones stretches back to the founding of the United States.
