Word for the day "Problems and setbacks"

I Peter 5:10 (NKJV) But may[d] the God of all grace, who called us[e] to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Our problems and setbacks don’t determine the direction of our lives.

Do you ever think that your level of success in life is minimized by the problems and setbacks you experience along the way?

Well, I am writing today because I believe that’s just not true. Every now and then it’s good to get a fresh perspective on life.

The character development part of our life can be very challenging and confusing to make sense of for all of us.

Our problems and setbacks don’t determine the shape and direction of our lives. What problems and setbacks do, however, is reveal our Character?

They show us how we respond to fear, disappointments, and failure.

They reveal what level of resilience we possess; whether or not we are content to play the role of a victim; and whether we are willing to take a risk again after initial failure.

What risk are you taking in your life right now?

The problems and setbacks we face are the crucibles of our character formation.

Well if you are reading this today it’s time for you to get back in the game. In other words, setbacks and problems can diagnose our shortcomings and call us to positive change in our life.

Problems and setbacks are the crucibles of character formation, and they give us perspective as we pause and evaluate what’s truly important in life.

And developing your Character primarily takes place in times of setbacks and problems.

So, don’t be discouraged when troubles come your way, instead hang on to your faith, God’s word and ask yourself, “what can I learn from this”.

Trust that the God who created you and in whom you place your faith and trust will carry you through your setback or trial.

Be careful not to draw conclusions about your situation that may not be based on truth. God always has a plan for His servant leaders that we may not know about.

Ask God to give you His purpose and plan of the situation, not yours.

Point to ponder

Reading today’s passage we see that the Lord is doing something amazing amid the challenging time.

There is a perfecting, establishing, and strengthening emerging during this time of suffering for God’s chosen people.

This is often the case for you and I. We look at our situations and conclude based on the circumstances that reality must be this way.

But God says, No, you do not perceive or know what I know or what I am doing. The situation is very different than what you may think or believe. Have a wonderful day God’s people!!
