Word for the day "Free from my own prison"

Psalm 142:7 (NKJV) Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.

At times we can spend our lives in prisons of our own making.

Have noticed sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.

How many of us have resolved to spend our days in prisons of our own making-prisons? However, we’re able to escape through personal change, but won’t because the prison provides us a semblance of security.

You can be liberated from whatever your prison is: emotional, habitual, relational, professional, and financial.

Look for help-first to God, but then to those God has put in your life a trusted friend, pastor or counselor. And remember God is a God of second chances.

It’s time to break out of the prisons that have you oppressed, restricted, and stuck. I think we all spend time in our own prisons, with our own restrictions and our own limitations.

We may even live in beautiful homes, drive high-end cars or dress in designer clothes, but at times, we exist behind figurative prisons or in a state of immobility.

I’ve placed myself in self-imposed prisons enough to feel the need to share my heart with someone in need today.

When you hold onto harmful and destructive habits and actions, you definitely lock yourself in the system of prison.

 Don’t be the one to keep yourself in prison for life.

Thoughts in our minds can overtake us and take over when we give them attention and if you’re not changing your thoughts or actions, both are still serving you in some destructive capacity.

It can start to become normal and comfortable if you don’t take actions. Many of us are doing life prison sentences and are outwardly free but inwardly incarcerated.

It’s time to end living in a cell that determines how we will feel and how we will react to any given event.

If something fits into our way of seeing things, we feel satisfied and comfortable and desire more of it. If it does not, we become agitated, overwhelmed, discouraged or defeated.

When you surrender completely to the Lord now and put all your attention on surrendering every moment, your full awareness connects you to the freedom of life.

That is when life becomes worth living and worth fighting for, and God has liberated you from your own prison cell.

Point to ponder

If you know it’s time to make the changes that involve you being liberated and free. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today, the Lord is available to set you free. Have an amazing day family!
