Word for the day "Discovering God's plan".
Jeremiah 29:11 (HCSB) For I know the plans I have for you”- [this is] the Lord’s declaration- “plans for [your] welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
The challenge of discovering God’s plan for your life is crucial.
Why did God put me here?” It’s a simple question to ask and, at times, a very complicated question to answer. Especially in our human and Spiritual experiences.
I believe the challenge of understanding this question will change the trajectory of your life forever.
As you seek to discover (or perhaps, to rediscover) God’s plan for your life, you should start by remembering this: You are here because God put you here, and the Lord did so for a very good reason.
But I also believe it is not wrong to make plans. In fact, it is good to plan ahead. As it has been pointed out to us in the book of Genesis, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.
Interestingly enough at times, you may be confident that you are doing God’s will. But on other occasions, you may be uncertain about the direction that your life should take.
At times, you may wander aimlessly in a wilderness of your own making. And sometimes, you may struggle mightily against God in a vain effort to find success and happiness through your own means, not His.
We will discover that God’s plan for our life is the best plan.
But wherever you find yourself-whether on the mountaintops, in the valleys, or at the crossroads of life-you may be assured that God is there, and you may be assured that He has a plan for your life.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed” (Proverbs 16:3 NKJV). Now, this is the process we have to submit to if we plan on being successful in our endeavors.
I find it so encouraging and faith developing to look back at how much the Lord has done for us over the years.
When you arrive at one of life’s inevitable turning points, that’s the moment when you should turn your thoughts and prayers toward God.
When you do, the Lord will make Himself known to you in a time and manner of His choosing.
When you discover God’s plan for your life, you will experience peace, joy, and power- God’s power beyond what you can think or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). And that’s the only kind of power that really matters.
Point to ponder
God has a wonderful plan for your life. It is so easy to forget the Lord’s faithfulness in our lives. But, today it is time to start looking for that plan and living it now. And always remember- discovering God’s plan begins with prayer, but it does not end there. You also must work at it family of God!!
