Word for the day "Socially disconnected from each other in the 21st century paradigm shift"

I John 3:18 (NKJV) Let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.

We are becoming more and more socially disconnected from each other in 21st century paradigm shift.

If you are anything like me, you live a life in a neighborhood, but your social connections aren’t likely one to include your neighbors.I know people including me, who have lived in their neighborhoods for years and still don't know their neighbors on an intimate level.Too often the way we live in the world of the 21st century blocks out the world immediately around us.My observation is not only limited to my personal experience, but most of the social networking users started following this practice nowadays. From quite some time, I am observing that no matter whose birthday comes in our home, most of the relatives and friends only share a happy birthday message on social networking site.No one bothers to call or visit our place personally to congratulate or celebrate with us.Previously we used to wait for the phone calls of near and dear ones who used to give wishes wrapped in emotions and love, but now it is hard to recognize warmth of that love in the messages sent by social media. What do you think?

I believe it’s time to reconsider some aspects of our social interfaces in our lives.

Do you need to step out of your comfort zone and express love and concern to someone? Just look around you; the opportunities are there. We just close them off in our hurry to have a day without interruptions. Express some care and concern for someone today.Lend someone a helping hand. Spend time (and money if necessary) to be an agent of God's love.I strongly feel that we should once again go back to the same method of sharing blessings and wishes by calling or meeting personally. You know you we all need to do it people of God!Perhaps it’s time to put some boundaries on the use of social media in our lives.Let’s bring back the feeling of love and warmth of meeting family and friends personally.Let’s start sharing the real happiness of conversation and cracking jokes with splitting smiles and fits of laughter.Because those moments will never be replaceable, no matter how many “lol” s and teary-eyed, frozen-smile emojis you use.

Point to ponder

Spend the special moments of your life enjoying a tremendous peace of mind and stronger connection with your family members, friends and loved ones. You might just be tempted to take a break from the social paradigm shift or give it up all together with a renewed sense of connection to the world around you.Whatever you decide is best for you, I hope you have something to consider. Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of July 2018 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Ms. Annette Straker, Mr. David Straker, Mr. Kenneth Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Marguerite Williams, Mrs. Denise Johnson, Mrs. Cynthia Waiters-Artis, and Ms. Gertrude Scott.Follow me on Twitter @James Baker_jr as I endeavor to encourage and empower leaders of today and tomorrow!Thank you for using the Word Cup devotionals brought to you through Grace and Truth Leadership.
