Word for the day "Jesus changed the paradigm"
John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Those of us who experienced emotional pain as children, without the resources we needed to deal with it, may have grown up on a mission to deny our feelings. We numbed ourselves with denial, rationalization, minimization, and bad habits. We used people and things to survive the pain. When we did that, the thief who comes to steal and kill and destroy was winning. But Jesus came to earth to change the paradigm! In fact, Jesus announced that he came to offer something different, today’s reading says it all "Life and life more abundantly”. As we courageously begin to take our lives back and wake up to our feelings, we begin to taste that authentic life our Lord and Savior came to bring.Point to ponder – Do you realize the empowered life that Jesus died to give you and me!Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support in the month of July 2017 by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season: Special thanks to Mr. William Wilson, Mr. David Straker, Mrs. Annette Straker, Mrs. Marguerite Williams, Ms. Gertrude Scott.
