Word for the day "Submit your Emotions"

Proverbs 29:11 (NKJV) A fool vents all his feelings, [a]But a wise man holds them back.Who is in charge of your emotions? Is it you, or have you formed the unreliable habits of letting other people-or stressful situations-determine the quality of your thoughts and the direction of your day? If you are wise-and if you’d like to build a better life for yourself and your loved ones-you’ll learn to control your emotions before your emotions control you.Human emotions are highly volatile, decidedly unpredictable, and often unreliable. Our emotions are like the weather, only far more fickle. So we must learn to live by faith, not by the ups and downs of our own emotional roller coasters. How do you live your life as a child of God?Sometime during this day, you will probably be gripped by a strong negative feeling. Distrust it. Examine it. Test it. And turn it over to God. Your emotions will inevitably change; God will not. So trust the Lord completely, and observe those negative feelings slowly be resolved in your disposition. The Lord will sustain you in every area of your life, you trust God people of God!Point to ponder- It’s time to make changes and it all starts with you and it can start today! Submit your emotions, feelings, and difficult concerns to the Lord.Quote Jim Elliot “I may no longer depend on pleasant impulses to bring me before the Lord. I must rather respond to principles I know to be right, whether I feel them to be enjoyable or not”.Prayer- Gracious Father, You are my (our) strength and my refuge. As we journey through this day, we will encounter events that cause us emotional distress. Lord, when we are troubled, let us turn to You. Keep us steady, Lord, and in those difficult moments, renew a right spirit inside our heart.
