Word for the day "Talk to yourself about yourself"

John 8:13 (NCV) The Pharisees said to Jesus, “When you talk about yourself, you are the only one to say these things are true. We cannot accept what you say.”14 Jesus answered, “Yes, I am saying these things about myself, but they are true. I know where I came from and where I am going. But you don’t know where I came from or where I am going. 15 You judge by human standards.I was wondering if you are like me and talk to yourself? It's not something to be embarrassed about, talking to yourself can be used to your benefit in order to greatly improve your success in controlling your desires. One way to use it is to redirect the anger, pain, and hurt you feel when you are tempted by an unhealthy or inappropriate desire.Instead of getting angry with yourself, get angry at the offense, and at the pain it perpetuates. This will really help you withstand it. Another way self-conversation can be used is to confront yourself and your proclivities in order to bring rationality back into play when temptation threatens to confuse and disorient you. When you actively engage your mind by talking to yourself, you'll be less likely to act without thinking, and you'll reinforce what you believe to be true, right, and good. Talk to yourself about yourself is a great self communication to help yourself in good and bad times!Point to ponder- Make no mistake about it, self-conversing can be a very spiritually wise thing to do. So keep on talking to yourself and grow while doing it.
