Word for the day "A Soul sickness"

^{John 4:7 (NKJV)} There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.⁸ (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) ⁹ Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. ¹⁰ Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.I have discovered a life voided of a relationship with the Lord, produces an eternal "Soul sickness"! Sickness is always unsettling. But even more so when it's unexpected, and happens in a situation where others feel rather vulnerable themselves, like being seriously sick oneself! The emotional trauma in knowing you are seriously at risk in your health is unsettling, to say the least. What we choose to embrace in these times can determine our destiny. Are you settling for a pill, drink, or some other temporary substitute?  When the Lord offers the real thing the water to quench your thirst is available to you today! Why decide a cheap substitute, when you can have the permanent sustainer of life!Point to ponder- In this Lent season; In the quiet of where you are right now, you can ask Jesus to help you, to come into your heart and life as Lord and Savior. Or he's available to you through your connection with others who are His followers.
