Word for the day "Forgiveness Heals"
Matthew 6:14-15 (MSG) “In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.We all suffer from broken relationships, with God and with others. This brokenness will weigh you down spiritually and slow your progress in growing in the purposes of God unless you take steps to mend it. And hear my heart today; God wants to heal the brokenness in your life and He wants you to participate by forgiving and seeking forgiveness for yourself. God's ultimate plan for you and our world involves healing. We are a part of God’s healing plan in the lives of others and our own lives. One of the most difficult things to do is to forgive those who have hurt us. And most of the time the people who have hurt us are those who are very close to us! Have you forgiven yourself? Or have you forgiven the person in your life who has hurt you the most?Although we know that God will heal all things upon His return to rule in the earth, until then we need to take steps toward mending the brokenness in our lives. Giving and receiving forgiveness is a must when it comes to spiritual healing. In doing so you will make peace with God, with yourself, and with those we have alienated. Who do you owe an apology to or need to be reconciled?Point to ponder- Who do you need to forgive? Just remember, God has placed one condition on our receiving His forgiveness, that we forgive others. It's a serious Revelation to embrace. Just remember, we don't earn forgiveness, and we shouldn't expect others to earn ours.
