Word for the day "Toxic Concerns"
Matthew 7:17 (TLB) Different kinds of fruit trees can quickly be identified by examining their fruit. 18 A variety that produces delicious fruit never produces an inedible kind. And a tree producing an inedible kind can’t produce what is good. 19 So the trees having the inedible fruit are chopped down and thrown on the fire. 20 Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person[c] is by the kind of fruit produced. Are you a toxic person or are around toxic people and situations on a regular basis? This can be discovered in our homes, our relationships, our jobs, or wherever we have to interface with family, friends, and people.Don't you wish that some of the ideas falsely passed off as “Christian” came with a label that read: “Toxic, Keep Away”' unfortunately they don't. Consequently, many well-intentioned people of God are having their faith laced with spiritual poison serving as Toxic and deadly. I believe the first step in understanding "Toxic" relationships is being aware of what it looks like!If these toxins go undetected for long, they will inevitably result in spiritual sickness, and the symptoms will include doubt, discouragement, despair, cynicism, and in some cases even loss of faith in God. Are you, or perhaps someone you love, playing with spiritual poison? We all desire the truth, but when the truth is dispensed in untruthful ways, it's highly toxic. Do you know the difference?Point to ponder- Look for the fruit of God's spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, as a first check on whether your faith and or any place where you spend your time is toxic or not. If you are in a “Toxic” situation you must begin to learn what it looks like? and how to respond? In His Love,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
