Word fort the day "The Lord's truth sets us free"

John 8:31 (NKJV) Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”If we will let the truths of Scripture fill our minds, guard our emotions, and influence our conduct, God will richly reward us in the days of our life here on earth. I'm talking about spiritual blessings here (though the Lord at times chooses to bless us materially as well). By reading and meditating on His Word, you will learn to understand God’s ways. This isn't something we can figure out on our own, because the Lord’s ways are unlike ours, they are higher, bigger, and eternal (Isaiah 55:8-9).Also, your relationship with the Lord will grow increasingly more intimate because God chooses to reveal Himself to those who seek, and obey His instructions. When you see that God always keeps His promises, your confidence in the Lord’s faithfulness will soar. No matter what the situation, you'll know you can trust God. Then God will transform your worries into joyful anticipation about what He's going to do next in your life. Even if hard times await, you will be convinced that the Lord will work them out for your good (Romans 8:28). This is the good stuff family of God!A life grounded in the Lord's truth is powerful. Those who live by the Word develop spiritual discernment, which guides their choices and guards against deception. Because they demonstrate wisdom and godliness, the Lord enables them to impact others greatly. Since the Lord knows they can be trusted, Our Lord also gives them greater responsibilities and opportunities for service in His kingdom. Enjoy your day family of God!In His Service,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
