Word for the day "Our Great God"

Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV) “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Many people today are striving for personal improvement, self-empowerment, and inner strength. Yet, Christianity has a completely opposite way of thinking; it's full of paradoxes. Have you noticed the paradoxes in the Lord’s ways?We die to live; we lose to find; and we surrender to gain strength. We only get things when we are ready to handle them with God, not when we want them. The wife, the job, the children, and many times what we have been waiting for! When Jesus overcame death, he defeated the worst enemy of all. Today we are all left to battle with far lesser enemies, knowing that the Lord has already won the war and also provide divine help in our victories. There is a great sense of hope and encouragement trusting in our God!When we stop trying to control the outcome of every situation and stop demanding that God resolve our problems according to our dictates, we unlock the door for God to show us his redemptive purpose and divine plan for our lives. Do you know what God’s plan and purpose is for your life?Praying, 'Your will be done Lord' gets us out of God's way and removes our ideas as to how things are supposed to work out in our lives, and allows God's ideas to take control. Yes I know it’s easier said than done, but it’s all good. Are you struggling to be a better follower of Jesus? Spiritual growth results from trusting the Lord. A life of faith will enable you to trust God increasingly without knowing what's around the corner. I am glad I don’t have to have all the answers to life, but I know who does, Our Great God!In His Service,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
