Word for the day " Handling your Temper"

John 2:13-14 (MSG) When the Passover Feast, celebrated each spring by the Jews, was about to take place, Jesus traveled up to Jerusalem. He found the Temple teeming with people selling cattle and sheep and doves. The loan sharks were also there in full strength. 15-17 Jesus put together a whip out of strips of leather and chased them out of the Temple, stampeding the sheep and cattle, upending the tables of the loan sharks, spilling coins left and right. He told the dove merchants, “Get your things out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a shopping mall!” That’s when his disciples remembered the Scripture, “Zeal for your house consumes me.”As we all experienced, life is full of frustrations: some great and some small. On occasion, you, like Jesus did , will have to contend with evil, and when you do, you must learn to respond as He did: vigorously and without reservation. As long as you live here on earth, you will face countless opportunities to lose your temper over small, relatively insignificant events: a bump from someone on the subway, spilling some sauce on your clothes, an inconsiderate comment from in- significant person, and even a broken promise which happens in life. When you are tempted to lose your temper over the small stuff of life, don't go for the flim flam. Turn away from anger, stress, bitterness, and regret. Turn instead to God’s principles, “A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel ( Proverbs 15:18 NIV).Point to ponder- If any of you reading this message today know me in a personal way, you know God is real especially when you read the content of this message. Please be patient with me, God is not finish with me yet!!!Power Quote- John Chrysostom “No matter how just your words may be, you ruin everything when you speak with anger”.All Sincerity,Pastor James Baker, Jr.
