Word for the day "It's turning around for you"

Genesis 39:20 (NASB) So Joseph’s master took him and put him into the jail, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined; and he was there in the jail. 21 But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the chief jailer. 22 The chief jailer committed to Joseph’s [w]charge all the prisoners who were in the jail; so that whatever was done there, he was [x]responsible for it. 23 The chief jailer did not supervise anything under [y]Joseph’s charge because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made to prosper.When God allows us to go to prison because we have been serving Him, and goes there with us, prison is about the most blessed place in the world that we could be (Prison can be a state of mind, not only a cell). Joseph seems to have known that. He did not sulk and grow discouraged and rebellious because "everything was against him." How do you respond when things are against you?If Joseph had the wrong response, the prison-keeper would never have trusted him so. Joseph does not even seem to have pitied himself. Let us remember that if self-pity is allowed to set in, that can be the end for us, and until it is cast utterly from us, we are prisoners in a cell in or out of jail!Joseph just turned over everything in joyous trust to God, and so the keeper of the prison turned over everything to Joseph. Today’s word is for somebody who needs to know, the Lord is turning some things around for you so be ready with the right response to God now and in the days ahead.Prayer: Lord Jesus, when the prison doors close in on us, keep us trusting, and keep our joy full and abounding. Prosper Thy work through me in the prison cell or the prison of our mind: even there, make me free indeed. In Christ name, Amen!!
